The Spilsby Christmas Lights Switch On and Market is taking place on 25 November from 3pm (switch on at 6pm).  If you are interested in having a stall at the event we have extended our deadline due to more space being made available.  To find out more about the event or to apply to have a stall see our Christmas in Spilsby page.

Christmas Lights Switch On 2017

Christmas Market Poster 2017-400The countdown to Christmas starts in Spilsby on Saturday 25 November 2017.

After last years' Christmas lights switch on and Christmas Market we are aiming to make the event even better than last year!

The Market is scheduled to start at 3pm and runs until 6:30pm, with the lights being switched on at around 6pm by Vicki Bamforth and joined on stage by Scrooge from Charles Dickens tale "A Christmas Carol".  Music will be provided on the day by County Linx Radio who will be bringing their Radio Bus and stage which proved very popular last year.

"Linkage Voices" will be performing festive songs before the lights switch on.

Last years' event was held on the centre car park and we are aiming to make it bigger this year as we have extra space for our very popular market with more stalls than last year.

We are also looking forward to the return of Santa to our event, as he has promised to take some time off from his very busy schedule of preparing for Christmas Day to join us in his grotto.

There is still some time for potential stall holders to reserve a pitch after the original deadline was extended as more space was made available after high demand for stalls.  Stall holders must complete the application form and return it either by email to christmas@spilsbyonline.co.uk or by posting it into the yellow Spilsby Town Council post box in Franklin Hall by 4pm on Tuesday 21 November.

Once all stalls are confirmed a list will be made available online.  Many shops in the town will be staying open later for the evening.

Please note: all stallholders must have public liability insurance with a minimum of £2,000,000 cover.  For more details download the application form.
