What information do you collect and how do you use it?
Spilsby Online is committed to protecting the privacy of users of the website (end users). We want the services we provide to be both informative and useful to end users.
Spilsby Online does not collect personally identifiable data about end users, however we do use the services provided by Google Analytics to inform us of the number and variety of users who visit the website. This information is collected using a cookie, which is a small file saved on the end users computer. This file enables Google Analytics to ascertain whether you are a new end user or a returning end user. This cookie does not enable Spilsby Online or Google Analytics to track users beyond this website. Information gathered is for essential audience targetting statistics only. Although collecting statistics helps us to benefit our end users and clients greatly by better understanding their needs, we do realise that a limited number of users may wish to not participate in this.
Users who do not wish to accept cookies should disable cookies in their web browser, but can continue to otherwise use this site without any issues. For further information on cookies, including how to block and control them, please visit http://www.aboutcookies.org/.
When registering for some services, we request basic personal information such as name and email address, etc, so that we have a means of contacting users on account related matters or to announce new services, and so that end users can contact shops and services with their queries. We do not pass on personal information to third parties, except for information provided by the user for the purposes of end user contact. Details of contact made between the user and third parties through the website are not retained by SpilsbyOnline.co.uk. Personal information will not be sold to third parties.
Spilsby Online do not currently use client contact information for our electronic mail (e-mail) marketing purposes, user information is collected solely for account related contact or to announce new services. However, Spilsby Online reserve the right to introduce opt-in community e-mail to users as an additional service at a later date. It should be noted that such a scheme would be based on an opt-in method where clients would have to opt to receive the mailings, to protect the privacy of our users. Such a scheme would be operated solely by Spilsby Online and its' agents, and not by third parties. Mailings would be no more frequent than one per week, and clients would be able to opt-in and opt-out freely.
