Community Grants will soon be available from East Lindsey District Council again and a series of special workshops have been organised to help organisations who might like to make an application.
2011/12 Community Grant Scheme offers Small Grants of £250 or larger Community Grants of up to £8,000 to local not for profit organisations. The scheme is open to all not for profit organisations and parish Councils; and both revenue and capital projects can be supported.
The Scheme, which is expected to award around £130,000 over the next year, is administered through two funding rounds; the deadline for applicants wishing to submit to Round One of the scheme is May 9, 2011; with the Round Two deadline anticipated to be during September 2011.
The Council is encouraging organisations considering an application to attend a Workshop to better understand the process and how to write a strong community grant application. The schedule for workshops is as follows:
Louth – 18 March – (10.00 to 11.30)
Skegness – 23 March
Sutton on Sea – 24 March
Fulstow – 25 March
Binbrook – 29 March
Horncastle – 30 March
Eastville – 31 March
All times are 19.00 to 20.30 unless otherwise stated.
Groups and organisations from around the Spilsby area have benefitted from funding from the Community Grants over the past few years.
Application forms and Information Guides are available at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk or paper copies can be requested from the Community Grants Team.
