Lincolnshire Police are treating the death of a man found in Burgh Le Marsh as suspicious.
The man’s body was found in a building at an old railways goods yard in Burgh le Marsh on Sunday evening (13 March), just before 7pm. The Police stated that enquiries have begun to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
A post mortem is due to take place to establish a cause of death on Monday morning, and no further detail will be released by Lincolnshire Police until it has taken place.
Update:
The post mortem examination of the deceased man has been completed but the results are inconclusive and the cause of death cannot yet be confirmed. Lincolnshire Police are, therefore, continuing to treat his death as unexplained.
He is a local man, aged 46, but a formal identification has not yet taken place.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Gibbon is the senior investigating officer and he is appealing for anyone who lives locally to Station Road in Burgh Le Marsh and who saw any unusual persons, vehicles or activity in the area from 6pm onwards on Sunday to contact Police on 0300 111 0300 or Crime Stoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
