Police Warn Of Diesel Thefts

Police are appealing for witnesses after diesel was stolen from two lorries parked in lay-bys on the A16.

Incident 60 took place in Boston after the driver of a black volvo lorry parked in a lay by on the A16 Sibsey Road in Boston. Between 9.30pm on Wednesday night and 7am the following morning, thieves stole several hundreds of pounds worth of diesel from the tank.

Incident 70 occurred within a similar timeframe and the offenders targeted a white Scania lorry parked in a lay by on the A16 at Driby Top, near Alford, stealing approx 400 litres of fuel.

As these thefts have occurred both north and south of the Spilsby area it is possible that the thieves may choose to strike at targets in the Spilsby area. Residents and businesses should be aware of the potential and take all necessary steps to avoid this affecting them.
