District Council To Clamp Down On Dog Owners Who Don't Clear Up

East Lindsey District Council has announced plans to clamp down on dog owners who do not clear up after their pet.

In partnership with the Dog’s Trust and Lincolnshire Police, East Lindsey District Council is stepping up its efforts to reduce dog fouling even further following complaints it has received about owners leaving mess on the pavements and in other public spaces.

High visibility patrols will take place in well known fouling ‘hot spots’ and local people are being asked to support the campaign by providing information to the Council that could help to combat the issue and catch those responsible. Those caught fouling will receive fines of £75.

In Spilsby and the surrounding area, the Council will be joined on its enforcement patrols by Lincolnshire Police, which is also keen to address the problem.
