Parents of primary school children worked together with staff and students of King Edward VI Humanities College at their very successful Open Evening this week. Students led guided tours of interested parents to view facilities, including the new Year 7 base, the ecobarn and bustling Maths, English and Science areas.
Margaret Reeve, Headteacher of the College, opened the evening with the very welcome news that free transport to King Edwards is available on regular bus routes to all students living over 3 miles from the college from January 2012 before describing the opportunities available to students joining the college in September. Feedback received from the parents and children was overwhelmingly positive about the school and what it is offering to its’ students.
Parents unable to attend the open evening are encouraged to contact Mrs Reeve for details.
