New figures out from OnLincolnshire show that only 1.7% of all premises in Spilsby have registered interest in high speed broadband.
Out of the 1,644 premises in the town, only 28 have registered their interest with OnLincolnshire that is designed to highlight where there is greatest need to start work on providing faster services within the county.
This can be compared to 67.5% of all premises in Foston – the highest percentage in Lincolnshire. Other local areas include Hagworthingham (17.7%), Raithby (13.4%), West Keal (10.9%) and Great Steeping (10.1%).
As Lincolnshire County Council relying on numbers of registrations – which most residents are unaware of – rather than actual identified need, it is unlikely that the Spilsby area will be one of the first places in the county to receive the much needed extra speed. Spilsby is rated as the place in Lincolnshire with the lowest average speed, and one of the poorest areas for broadband speed in the entire country.
If you have not already registered your interest in high speed broadband we recommend that you do so as soon as possible to improve the chances of Spilsby receiving this service earlier – if at all. You can register your interest, with no obligations, with OnLincolnshire for free.
