East Lindsey District Council has called off tomorrow’s (Monday) market in Spilsby.
With storm force winds expected to bring disruption to Lincolnshire overnight and into tomorrow the move was taken to call the event off over safety concerns.
East Lindsey District Council spokesperson, James Gilbert, said: “As you’ll most likely be aware, this evening and into tomorrow there is expected to be very high winds.
“In light of this, we have taken an early decision to cancel Spilsby market as we believe it will be far too dangerous to erect the stalls. We have informed those traders who were due to stand at tomorrow’s market,” he added.
