Sgt Adam Syred will oversee neighbourhood policing for the Spilsby beat area, as well as Horncastle and Wragby beats, Woodhall Spa, and the Coningsby and Tattershall beats.
Sgt Syred has been a frontline operational officer since 2001, and has spent his last five years of service as a response sergeant in Louth. Prior to joining Lincolnshire Police, he worked in a city centre environment, with some of that time as a Neighbourhood Beat Officer, the equivalent of our police Community Beat Managers.
“I have a passion for policing local communities”, explained Sgt Syred. “My beat in the city was one square mile and the transition from that to a vast rural area, covering many towns and villages, was an interesting challenge.
“Once settled in this new role, I hope to be able to regularly join my colleagues who already attend the various meetings and events that are held locally, getting out and meeting members of the community.
“I know that I have joined an experienced team of Community Beat Managers and PCSOs and look forward to working with them and our partners to provide the Wolds communities with an excellent local policing service”.
