Gunby Hall and Gardens is getting set to open its doors for the festive season with three weekends of special Christmas weekend openings.
Visitors will experience the house decorated for Christmas, sing carols around the grand piano in the music room and enjoy seasonal treats in the tea-room. The gardens are also open and wreaths and Christmas gifts will be for sale in the basement.
House Manager Astrid Gatenby said: “Christmas is always an extra special time to visit Gunby. Our staff and volunteers have spent a lot of time decorating the house and getting it ready for Christmas. The house has a very homely atmosphere already, but at Christmas it really comes to life. We look forward to finishing off our record breaking year with welcoming many local people and share Gunby Hall and Gardens with first timers and returnees alike. Bring the family and let us make you feel all Christmassy.”
Gunby Hall and Gardens will be open on November 29 and 30 and December 6, 7, 13 and 14 from 11am to 3pm. Entry is free for National Trust members and under 5’s. Otherwise: £6 adults, £3 children and £14 family group. Call 01754 890102 or visit http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/gunby-hall for more information
