Children at Halton Holegate Church of England Primary School were given a real workout when they were visited by Olympic swimmer and former World Record Holder, Jo Jackson.
Children at Halton Holegate Church of England Primary School were given a real workout when they were visited by Olympic swimmer and former World Record Holder, Jo Jackson.
Jo led workshops with all the children before delivering an inspirational assembly about how her climb to the very top of her sport. The children wrote letters of thanks and collected sponsor money to support a number of causes.
Head teacher, Damian Sunter, said: “It was a wonderful experience for the children to meet a genuine legend and they all rose to the challenge. They were so excited beforehand and gave Jo and her colleague, Amy, a warm welcome.”
