Police have confirmed the name of the driver who died following a crash near Alford on Sunday.
He was 24-year-old Nicholas Booth of Main Road, Hundleby, near Spilsby.
The single vehicle collision happened at the junction of Rose Lane and Greenfield Lane at around 8.20am on Sunday when the driver’s blue Renault Clio left the road and hit a tree.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
The driver died last night.
His death brings to 27 the number of people killed on Lincolnshire’s roads so far this year, compared to 17 at the same point last year, and an overall number of 41 in 2014.
A file will be prepared for the Lincolnshire coroner, Stuart Fisher.
