Spilsby can look forward to a monthly film night after funding was secured for the event for the next 12 months.
The Spilsby Community Plan Group was seeking funding to bring a monthly film night to the town after this revealed as one of the most requested items by residents at the Community Day held in 2017. The group has successfully obtained sufficient funding from the Big Lottery Fund to run the event for the next 12 months.
January saw the successful showing of “The Viceroy’s House” starring Hugh Bonneville and Gillian Anderson, and the funding is well timed after Friday’s showing of “Wonder Woman”.
March’s film will be the classic film “The Third Man” starring Orson Welles and will be shown on Saturday 3rd March in the Franklin Hall. Doors open at 6:15pm, with the film starting at 7pm. Admission is £4 with refreshments available.
