Spilsby Neighbourhood Policing Team are holding a cycle maintenance workshop and bike marking event on Friday 18 February in Wainfleet Market Place.

PC Matt Dickinson, Community Beat Manager for the team, said, “Simple and inexpensive measures will help keep cyclists safe from harm and their equipment less attractive to thieves. The planned sessions will give local people the opportunity to come along and learn more about how they can protect themselves during winter and avoid becoming a victim of a collision or theft”.

Other sessions are being organised throughout February and further dates will be advertised locally. At the same time, a cycle safety themed competition has been launched in the area’s primary schools in partnership with Sainsbury who will be sponsoring the prizes.
