Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen a very distinctive necklace that was stolen during a burglary at a property in Station Road, Halton Holegate, on Friday 1 April.

The offenders forced entry to the address between 8am and 7.30pm on the Friday and, amongst the items stolen, was a distinctive handmade solid gold necklace. The necklace is in the design of a horse’s snaffle bit suspended from a gold open link chain. As it was handmade unique piece made especially for the owner, it does not bear a hallmark.

A snaffle bit looks like this.

Have you been offered such a necklace or have you seen anything similar? Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300 quoting the incident number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
