Plans for a £40m pipeline that cut across the Spilsby area are set to be unveiled today.

Anglian Water has stated that its scheme will increase water supplies to Boston by taking water 40 miles by underground pipeline from the Covenham reservoir near Louth.

The route of the plan is understood to take it through the Spilsby Online area, possibly very close to Old Bolingbroke, and go via the Miningsby reservoir.

The plans will be available in the Franklin Hall from 2pm to 7pm today, and residents who are affected in the Louth area will be able to see the plans again the following day at Louth Town Hall between 2pm and 7pm.

A spokesman for Anglian Water stated that the pipeline was essential due to the expected population growth in the Boston area over the next 25 years.  Local residents are encouraged to go and see the plans as they are still at the planning stage and have yet to be submitted for approval.
