Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that occurred at a pizza shop in Spilsby market place between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday 13 November.

The shop was closed at the time but the offender is believed to have gained entry via the front door and stole approximately £400 of cash which was kept in a white plastic catering tub sealed with tape with a slot cut in the top.

PC Paula Young said, “The box contained mainly £1 and £2 coins and is where the owners put their change and save it up to be used for a good cause at Christmas. It is very sad that somebody would steal from the shop in this way and I am urging anyone with information to contact me”.

Anyone with information should contact PC Young by dialling 101 and quoting the incident number. Report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
