Shops Warned To Be Vigilent After Distraction Theft

Lincolnshire Police are advising local shops to be vigilant after a distraction theft at Sainsburys in Spilsby.

The incident, which occured on the 25th of August, involved distraction techniques confuse till staff when changing fifty pound notes into smaller denominations, leaving the till around £200 short.

PC Paula Young has released CCTV images of two women she would like to trace who may be able to assist with the investigation.  They are described as being aged in their late 20s, of Asian appearance and had strong foreign accents.

Anyone with information should contact PC Young by dialling 101 and quoting the incident number.
