The evolution of Lincolnshire’s libraries continues with the introduction of convenient self-service technology in Spilsby.

Following the success of similar projects at larger libraries, Lincolnshire County Council is now upgrading several smaller sites across the county, including that in Spilsby.

Cllr Eddy Poll, Executive Member for Cultural Services, said:

“These improvements have already been well received at other sites, and we’re looking forward to bringing them to Spilsby. Self-service technology will make it quicker and easier to borrow and return books and free up staff so they can spend more time with customers. However, this isn’t the only change we’ll be making. People will also benefit from new improved free internet access computers, and some new library book stock.”

The library will close on Monday 28 March for three weeks whilst the improvements are carried out, reopening on Monday 18 April at 1pm.
