At least three thefts occurred during the afternoon of Saturday 21st March whilst the victims were shopping in stores in the Eastgate area.

A fourth person reported that they had stopped someone attempting to remove their purse from their handbag. The offender is described as a female of medium build, approx 5' 4" tall, wearing a blue head scarf, dark puffa jacket, brown boots and large sunglasses.
