Primary School Offers Out Now
Offers of primary school places have been sent out to parents who applied to Lincolnshire County Council with the majority of children offered a place at a primary school of their choice this year.
Along with the rest of the country, Lincolnshire has experienced high numbers of families wanting their children to start school in September. There are around 7,500 children wanting a school place this year.
This year 94.2% of the 7,065 children applying will receive their first choice of primary school, slightly down on last years' figure of 95.0%.
292 children have been offered their second choice (3.9%) and a further 50 offered their third choice (0.7%). 95 children did not receive a place at any of their three preference schools (1.3%).
Parents have until 21 May to lodge an appeal if they are unhappy with the offered school. If they return the appeal form by the deadline it will be heard before the end of term - if it is received late it will still be heard, but this may be in September.
Parents who applied online will receive an e-mail containing a secure link to their offer letter on 16 April – go to Lincolnshire County Council School Admissions for further information.
