Spilsby cauliflower picker jailed over revenge attack

Article Written By: BBC News

A land worker who carried out a revenge attack on his former employer, armed with a foot-long cauliflower machete, has been jailed for 11 years.

Dean Millington, 35, was one of two masked men armed with knives who broke into their victim's home in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, in October.

Lincoln Crown Court heard the pair threatened the gangmaster and his wife, shouting "where is the money?".

Officers are still looking for the second man involved in the attack.

The court heard the victim was pushed to the floor and punched in the face.

The gangmaster's wife started screaming, then one of the men put his hand around her throat.

The robbers then searched the downstairs of the property, looking for money, before fleeing with a handbag and £50 cash.
