A vehicle has been damaged in Spilsby after being attacked by vandals with orange paint. The vehicle, which was parked on the grass land on Ancaster Avenue playing field near to the Eresby Avenue side, was attacked some time between 10:30am and 12:30pm on Friday 19 October. It has been reported by BBC Radio Lincolnshire that Spilsby Show has been cancelled. Although official confirmation from the Show’s organisers has yet to be received both BBC Radio Lincolnshire and various organisations that had arranged for displays at the event have confirmed the show’s cancellation. This has been put down to the playing fields off Ancaster Avenue being waterlogged in places. Once more information has been received we will update this article.
Lincolnshire Police have issued an alert due to a number of shed burglaries in Spilsby over the last few days. Overnight from the 4th of December 2011 to the 5th of December 2011 several properties in the Ancaster Avenue area of Spilsby have their outbuildings broken into.
