A Spilsby man appeared in court on crutches to answer charges of driving with excess alcohol, after his lawyer explained he had been hit by an ambulance and was unable to work at the present as a result. Council turns down Lincolnshire Police’s justice plea

Spilsby Councillors have turned down a request from Lincolnshire Police to help promote restorative justice. Parish and town councils across the county have been asked to publicise the programme which enables victims of crime to meet offenders. A Spilsby man drove his car whilst over double the alcohol limit with his three young children in the back of the car.
