A former East Lindsey District Councillor has been jailed for four-and-a-half years over three historic counts of indecency with a schoolgirl. Philip Leivers, 75, of Sea Bank Road, Chapel St Leonards, gave the victim tickets to watch top-name acts including Madness, Dire Straits and UB40 for free while managing London’s Hammersmith Odeon. A Spilsby couple denied allegations of racially motivated assault and threatening behaviour when they appeared at Skegness Magistrates’ Court last week. Spilsby man punched partner in the head after she threw drink at him

After a row with his partner, a Spilsby man went to her home, kicked down a door and assaulted her, Skegness Magistrates have been told.
