Spilsby is set the celebrate its most famous son – Sir John Franklin – with a week of celebration.

A Trail will be launched in Spilsby as part of the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival, to celebrate the life and achievements of the arctic explorer, Sir John Franklin. One of Lincolnshire explorer Sir John Franklin’s two ships which vanished in the Arctic more than 160 years ago has been found, Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper has announced.
