Around 180 pupils from 12 local schools brought their best singing voices to perform in the annual Spilsby Schoolsâ€™ Music Festival at Spilsby Methodist Church recently.Conducted by Amanda Rivers, local piano teacher and director of youth theatre in Boston and Skegness; the children performed a programme of songs based round the theme â€˜Spaceâ€™. The future of Spilsby Library is unclear and could close as major changes are being proposed for Lincolnshire’s library services in a bid to save £2m from the county council’s budget. The Public Toilets in Spilsby are to be improved as part of a district-wide scheme by East Lindsey District Council. Half a million pounds are being spent improving 24 public toilets in East Lindsey as part of a improvement plan agreed by the Council’s Executive Board. An 18 year old man has been arrested in connection with armed robbery. Lincolnshire Police can confirm that an 18 year old man from Skegness was arrested about 10pm yesterday (Saturday) in connection with the robbery at Spilsby on Saturday morning. He is being questioned at Skegness Police station. No other details are available at this time.
