Early results show that the Conservatives have held the Spilsby area in the Lincolnshire County Council elections.

The Town Council are sponsoring Grimblethorpe Hall Butchery for the trial to assess the demand in the town for a butcher on the market. East Lindsey District Council has announced it is launching a virtual car parking permit scheme. From April 1, anyone purchasing a parking permit in East Lindsey will have the ability to set up an online account that can be updated as necessary throughout the duration of the permit. Barclays Bank have announced proposals to close their Spilsby branch later this year. The branch, on High Street in the town, is set to close on 23rd of November 2018 after the bank reported a 9% drop in counter transactions carried out in the past 24 months.
