A council has approved proposals to charge 20p to use three of its public toilets as part of plans to combat government funding cuts. City of Lincoln Council said charging for facilities at Lucy Tower Street, Castle Square and Tentercroft Street could bring in about £30,000 per year. A virtual gym in Spilsby which has become a lifeline for people recovering after illness is being ‘suspended’. Sinks, pipes and electricity cables have been ripped off the walls at a public toilet block in Stickney. Neil Jones, district councillor for Stickney, said felt disgusted when he heard the public toilet, by the picnic area in the village, had been taken out of action following the attack.
