Year 11 sports students at King Edward VI Humanities College are pleased to have been selected to provide football coaching for Halton Holegate Primary School from 7 November 2011 until 12 December 2011. The students work with Mrs Mandy Cherry, Headteacher, to organise and run the coaching sessions for the Year 6 students.

Mrs Cherry is delighted with the standard of the sessions and has said that King Edward’s students have made such a good impression on her pupils and were seen as role models for their younger counterparts.

At the initial session, Mr Luke Crossland from King Edward’s participated and took part and student Jordan Smith was identified as having made a superbly positive impact. Jordan was commended in assembly as being a real ambassador for King Edward VI Humanities College.

This initiative was organised by Mrs Kate Walker, Olympic Legacy Coordinator, in conjunction with Mr Mike Irving, Head of PE, as part of the Olympic and Paralympic 2012 Legacy.
