In the coming weeks people living in East Lindsey who have received a postal, proxy or postal proxy vote since January 2007, will be required to provide a fresh specimen signature.
East Lindsey District Council will be writing to all those people concerned and is urging them to ensure they respond within six weeks.
Providing a new specimen signature is a legal requirement and if the Council doesn’t receive one within the six weeks the existing absent vote entitlement has to be removed.
Those who are unable to provide a consistent or distinctive signature should contact the Council’s Elections Team on 01507 601111 or e-mail [email protected]
