A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on the same stretch of road that saw a two vehicle crash the previous day.
The motorcyclist, believed to be a 44 year old male from the Nottinghamshire area, was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Zafira at around 4pm on Sunday afternoon (9 August) on Main Road, West Keal. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road remained closed for some time afterwards due to damage to overhead wires.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident itself or anyone who was in the area and saw either the Kawasaki motor cycle or the blue Vauxhall Zafira prior to the collision.
The man is not expected to be formally identified for a number of days.
