Police Appeal For Witnesses After Fatal Accident

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on Thursday night. The collision involved two vehicles, a silver Vauxhall Astra and a white Kia Sportage, on the A16 at East Keal, near Spilsby, just after 10pm.

The driver of the Astra, a man in his 20’s has been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. One passenger, a man in his 20’s from the local area was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, a man in his 20’s was taken to Boston Pilgrim with serious injuries.

The driver of the Kia, a woman in her 50’s, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries along with a male passenger who also sustained serious injuries.

Road closures removed around 6.40am on Friday morning.  Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the driving of either vehicle prior to the accident to contact 101 quoting incident 509 of 17 August 2017.
