Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a large amount of lead from the North aisle roof of St Lawrence’s Church, on The Green, in Revesby.
The theft was discovered on Friday afternoon (8 July) and is believed to have occurred the previous night or Wednesday night.
It is estimated that approx 3 tons of lead, valued at many thousands of pounds, was stolen during the theft.
