King Edwards Celebrate Successes

A total of some 200 awards were presented to students, both present and past, to celebrate their achievement, attainment, effort and examination results over the last academic year.

Headteacher, Mrs Margaret Reeve, was delighted at the fantastic response to King Edward VI Humanities College Prize Giving on Thursday 13 October 2011.

The Mayor of Spilsby, Cllr Michael Lenton, and the Mayoress of Spilsby, Mrs Ann Lenton were guests of honour, and Cllr Lenton presented the prizes to the students.

Mrs Reeve informed the audience that the college had been accepted on to the Get Set Scheme in readiness for The Olympic Games and to celebrate this the audience sang Land of Hope and Glory.  Jack Reavy and Louis Whiley played a guitar duet, Tequilla, and Rhea Cooper and Heidi Wells say Popular from the musical Wicked.
