As household waste can increase during the festive season, East Lindsey District Council is encouraging local people to continue recycling as much of their waste as they can.

Christmas cards, wrapping paper and cardboard can be put into the grey recycling bin. Glass bottles can be taken to the various recycling banks sited across the District. Tips on what to do with food leftovers can be found at the Love Food Hate Waste website (see article links below).

Christmas trees can be taken to the Household Waste Recycling Centres at Skegness, Kirkby on Bain and Louth.  Information on opening times can be found on the Lincolnshire County Council website (see article links below).

Residents are also urged to check their waste calendars for any bin collection day changes- this information can also be found on the Council’s website.
