Actor Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond, could be poised to buy the £12 million Dalby Hall Estate, in Spilsby, according to Twitter rumours.

The 1051-acre country pile includes an 8-bedroom Grade-II listed hall set in mature parkland with an estate office and coach house, a farmhouse, 7 cottages, three farmyards, an established shoot, a trout lake and a private airstrip.

Richard Hardesty tweeted: “Interesting, Daniel Craig is rumoured to be buying a house in Lincolnshire, about 20 minutes south of me… #DalbyHall.”  And Gavin Smith wrote: “I heard he is buying a house 6 miles west of me.”

The property is being marketed by Brown & Co, of Brigg.

Reported sightings of the Hollywood star in and around Spilsby have sparked Twitter rumours of his interest in Dalby Hall.
