Two Men Injured After Violence at George Hotel

Two men have been injured after violence scenes at the George Hotel in Spilsby.

An altercation took place inside the George Hotel just before midnight on Friday 4 September and continued outside in the car park. A 62-year-old local man sustained minor injuries after an alleged assault inside the premises.

A 44-year-old man was then in collision with a car outside the premises in the car park. He was taken to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston with cuts, grazes and bruises. His condition is not life threatening.

Police are currently at the scene conducting a forensic examination. A grey Renault Megane was seized nearby and a 31-year-old local man arrested in connection with the incident.

Anyone who witnessed any part of the incident, who has not yet been spoken to by the police, is asked to call the 101 non-emergency number quoting reference number 448 of 4 September 2015.

Update:

A Spilsby man has been charged with four offences in connection with an incident on Friday night.

Jason Wells (31), of Woodlands Avenue, has been charged with GBH with intent, common assault, possession of a bladed article, and driving with excess alcohol.

Wells will appear before Lincoln Magistrates on Monday 7 September.
