Patients and the public are invited to join in festive fun at the Grace Swan Health Clinic in Spilsby with their Christmas fair.

The clinic, run by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, benefited from a £170,000 investment this year to modernise its interior. It was originally built as a memorial hospital in 1902.

Patients and staff are hoping to raise funds to buy new equipment to improve patients’ experience at the clinic while bringing some festive cheer to patients and their families.

Clinic clerk Denise Lovegrove said: “We are really excited about our Christmas fair and hope to see lots of people throughout the day. We will have a tombola, raffle, homemade cakes and tea and coffee to wash it all down with.”

Clare Thornalley, team lead, added: “We are hoping to raise £1,000, but have already received £800 in donations. Local businesses have been extremely generous and we are grateful for their fantastic support. We’re also hoping to raise awareness of the services we offer here at Grace Swan; including physio therapy, speech and language therapy, and both the community nursing and paediatric teams are based here and hold health clinics on site.”

The fair is on Wednesday, December 9, 10am-3pm.
