Spilsby is set for its’ second major town centre property to go under the hammer in two days as the old Jacksons site is set to be sold off for development.
The Robin Hood Car Park, based on the old Jacksons site near the town centre, is set to be auctioned off, the day after the White Hart Hotel did not sell at auction but received bids of up to £145,000.
The land, about 0.58 acres (0.24 hectares), is being marketed as a development site and has existing outline planning permission for up to 10 residential dwellings. It has vehicular access from both the High Street and Reynard Street, and is popularly used as a cut-through for pedestrians.
Robin Hood car parks currently lease the land and operate it as a car parking facility that is well-used particularly during school drop-off and pick up times.
The guide price has been set at between £150,000 and £175,000 and is being auctioned off by Savills in Nottingham on 7 July.
