The countdown to Christmas starts in Spilsby on Friday 18 November 2016.
This year Spilsby Town Council have looked to make improvements to the event with the addition of extra entertainment and a mini Christmas Market.
The event starts at 6pm with the lights due to be turned on at around 7pm. There will be live music from local students as well as from County Linx Radio who will be bringing their radio bus. There may even be a visit from Father Christmas if all the little boys and girls are very good!
The market will start at 6pm in the Market Place (centre car park) with a variety of stalls.
There will be live entertainment from Becky Jane “The Vintage Vocalist”, a local singer, who will sing a variety of vintage songs before we start to kick into the festive mood with the lights switch on at 7pm.
The lights are due to be switched on by Councillor Gill Rymer, Mayor of Spilsby. This will be followed by carols and festive songs from students from Linkage College and Toynton All Saints Primary School. Feel free to join in the festivities by singing along!
If the event is a success in 2016 this would hopefully pave the way forward for a bigger event in 2017, as the event has generated plenty of local interest so far.
