Spilsby will be kicking off its’ Christmas season with its’ “Once Upon a Christmas in Spilsby” event.
The festivities begin with Spilsby Rotary’s Cracker Day from 10am to 2pm in the Franklin Hall.
At 2pm you are invited to join us in singing Christmas Carols around the Franklin Statue.
The popular outdoor Christmas Market is scheduled to start at 2pm and run until 6pm, with the Christmas Tree lights being switched on at 5.30pm.
Music will again be provided on the day by County Linx Radio who will be bringing their Radio Bus and stage which has proved very popular over the last few years. We will be joined for a performance by the students from Linkage, who are always very popular, as well as the Spilsby Primary Academy Choir.
The High Street in Spilsby will be closed from 12pm to 8pm (approximately) for the event. On street parking is not permitted on High Street during the event. Lincolnshire County Council have advised that buses will be diverted down Boston Road for the duration of the event.
The Market Place and Buttercross Car Parks will be closed from midnight on 1 December until after the event is finished. Parking will still be available in the Boston Road, Post Office Lane and Robin Hood (Reynard Street access only) car parks.
