A popular Christmas fair which supports worthy causes while offering shoppers festive gift ideas returns to Spilsby this weekend.

Spilsby Lions’ free Cracker Day event takes place at the Franklin Hall on Saturday from 10am to 4pm featuring 40 stalls, refreshments and entertainment – even Father Christmas will be calling in.

Lions’ Sue Oliver said: “Come and get involved with your community and help raise money for local causes.”

The stalls will feature a mix of Christmas crafts and charities.

Talented local singing group the Harlequins will be singing a selection of festive favourites and there will be hot and cold food available throughout the event.

Father Christmas will be in his grotto from 11.30am to 2.30pm when children will be invited to meet him for a £1.50 admission fee, which will support the Lions’ worthy causes this year.

The winner of a Christmas card competition entered by local school children will also be revealed on the day.
