The Christmas Tree in Spilsby has been removed after high winds broke the base.

Councillors Peter Grant and Michael Lenton, and a group of volunteers, tried to re-set the tree in its’ base this morning but efforts were ruled out due to the continuing poor conditions.

The Council have stated that they hope to re-set the tree on Sunday after the bad weather has subsided.

The lights were originally turned on on Friday 22 November by Grace Conlay, Year 8 Student from King Edward VI Academy, along with Mayor of Spilsby Councillor Peter Grant and Councillor Winston Baugh.
