Man Seriously Injured In Burgh Bypass Collision

Emergency services were called to the A158 at Burgh Le Marsh at 7:53am this morning (Friday) after a white Fiesta van and a blue Fiat Punto were involved in a collision.

The driver of the Fiesta, an 18 year-old man from Skegness, was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital by air ambulance, suffering from a serious head injury.

The driver of the Punto, believed to be a 31 year-old Horncastle woman, has gone to Skegness Hospital with minor injuries.

The road is currently closed with diversions in place.

Update (16/01/2012): Sadly, the 18 year old man involved in the accident as died.
