Police Appeal For Information After Copper Theft

Police are appealing for information following the theft of copper piping which occurred between 5pm on Friday 18th February and 9am on Monday 21st February at a business premises, A E Lenton, located at the Business Park in East Kirkby.

Around £1,000 worth of piping was cut from a building at the location and taken, causing an estimated £40,000 worth of damage to the premises.

Police are particularly appealing to scrap metal traders to be vigilant over the next few weeks and question anyone who approaches them with large quantities of piping.  Any information can be passed to PC 1261 Dickinson on 0300 111 0300 quoting Incident number 72 of 21/02/2011.
