Police Hunting Man After Attempted HSBC Armed Robbery

Lincolnshire Police are hunting a man involved in an attempted armed robbery at the HSBC in Spilsby yesterday.

Shortly before 2pm yesterday afternoon (11 September), a man entered the HSBC bank in the Hight Street in Spilsby carrying what is believed to be a firearm and demanded money from staff.

Nobody was hurt during the incident and the offender quickly left the bank empty handed.

Lincolnshire Police state that the offender was a white male wearing a bright blue boiler suit, black woolly hat and sunglasses.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw someone matching the description, or who has found any similar discarded items, is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101. Crimes can also be reported anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
