Talented pupils from Spilsby Primary Academy had an unforgettable experience as they took part in Young Voices 2025, the world’s largest children’s choir. The school, part of Infinity Academies Trust, was proud to see 24 of its pupils perform at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield alongside 4,452 children from across the country.

The event, known for bringing together young voices in a spectacular musical celebration, featured an exciting setlist, including Marley Magic—a tribute to Bob Marley in honour of what would have been his 80th birthday—and a vibrant Pop Medley spanning decades of hits.

Young Voices is an incredible opportunity for our pupils. It helps build their confidence, teamwork, and musical skills while allowing them to be part of something truly special. Their dedication and energy throughout rehearsals and the performance were inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Adding to the excitement, pupils had the chance to learn dynamic dance routines from Urban Strides Dance Company and were also taught British Sign Language (BSL) signs to accompany their songs, making the performance even more inclusive and engaging.

Headteacher Matthew Nicholson praised the children’s enthusiasm and hard work, saying: “Young Voices is an incredible opportunity for our pupils. It helps build their confidence, teamwork, and musical skills while allowing them to be part of something truly special. Their dedication and energy throughout rehearsals and the performance were inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder.”

The experience is just one of the many enrichment opportunities offered at Spilsby Primary Academy, designed to inspire and engage pupils beyond the classroom. Gavin Booth, CEO of Infinity Academies Trust, highlighted the importance of such events, stating: “We are committed to providing children with enriching experiences that open their eyes to future possibilities and encourage them to aim high. Young Voices is just one example of how we support our pupils in achieving their ambitions.”
