Spilsby will not enter this year’s Council to Protect Rural England Best Kept Town Competition councillors have decided.

The town has taken part in the competition for the past decade and reached the final for the first time last year.

However, at the latest meeting councillors voted not to enter this year

Spilsby Mayor Peter Grant said: “When we got to the final the council never received any feedback, on where we went wrong.”

The town council is now considering holding its own competition for best kept garden, street and shop.
